Do not get work done here if they don’t have parts in stock. The work continues to be delayed and there’s no follow up with the warehouse on receiving parts or with the customer about what is happening.
I recently took my vehicle to PepBoys to have two tires replaced. We arrived later in the afternoon and were aware the vehicle would have to wait until at least the next day. That was not the issue. The issues began when we were told we had made the cutoff time to have tires delivered the next day and they were in stock, so we’d have the vehicle back the next afternoon no problem. The next day at 1pm I had not heard anything so I called to get an update and was informed the tires didn’t come in with the morning delivery but they had reached out to the warehouse and tires would be there in the afternoon and I’d receive a call with an update around 5pm. 6pm came and went with no update so I had to call again. This time I was told that the tires did not come in and that they must have missed the shipping cut off time from California. When I asked why I was told on the earlier call that they would be there I was unable to get a clear answer - just a promise they would be there in the morning. The next morning I get an update that my vehicle is in process. And when I call, that is confirmed. But, 4 hours later when I called because I had yet again not received an update I was informed that the tires never arrived. Again, I was unable to get a clear answer about why I was told they had and that the vehicle was in process. We picked up and took my vehicle to Les Schwab instead who had tires in stock and the tires switched out in a matter of 3 hours. I wish I had started at Les Schwab and just paid the extra $58 there to begin with. It would have saved me the hassle and frustration that occurred from Pep Boys’ lack of customer service.
