I've been to Perbacco several times and have enjoyed each meal there. The pastas are delicious and well done. Service is good. Wine list is extensive. I haven't had a hard time getting a reservation here, unlike some other places. We had the pear salad and the tortellini soup. For pastas, I highly recommend the TAJARIN handcut thin tagliatelle - 5 hour pork and porcini mushroom sugo and the short ribs in a packet. Can't remember what is was called, but I've had it twice and it is very good. For desserts, we've had the Gelato, which has been rich but not over the top. All in all, I think it is a good value for what you get. Enjoyed our meals here.
I just want to start off... I would give this place a 2 out of 5 stars. We came here for Christmas Eve dinner. This is not up to fine dining standards for the price & the experience. 1.) Service is slow. The table next door that was seated after us got their appetizer, main dish, dessert, & the check before we got our main entrée. No bueno! 2.) Food is mediocre for the price. Fritto Misto was meh. Nothing special. It didn't taste great. Just meh. This Roasted Pear Salad was ridiculously sweet. When you make a salad with a vinaigrette that tends to be on the sweet side, you need to add a fat to cut through that sweetness. This can be in the form of a crumble goat cheese, brie, blue cheese, & even bacon. I mean something with a salty, fat element. This was not working. The cocktail was served after the appetizer after inquiring about it. This Ravioli pasta with squash & ricotta was too sweet. Is this a dessert? The pasta was dry as a bone. Where is the sage butter? The pomegranate seeds are not necessary. The tart-sweet is not helping the already dry, sweet filling. The filet mignon with truffled spaetzle was the only decent & most expensive item on the menu. This place is just not worth it. We were so disappointed by the food & experience, we didn't even want to see the dessert menu. We just wanted to pay the bill & leave. Do you know how bad that is when I don't want to hear the dessert menu?
