I got a 5 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel about 2 months ago, and she had been bounced between multiple houses throughout her puppyhood, so she did not get consistent and good socialization or training. She was a nightmare outside and in public; she couldn't go on walks because she pulled the entire time, she'd bark and whine at people because she wanted to meet them and go to them, she wouldn't listen to any instruction or commands, and we generally couldn't take her anywhere. We decided to enroll her in classes to help with her social awkwardness and training issues, and my God it was worth it. The ladies from Pet Coach to the Rescue were super fast to respond to us and discuss what was best for Ginger, our puppy, and they have been a dream this whole time. Ginger had a rough first two classes as she got used to being around other dogs and owners, but we're in our 5th week of the 6 week course and she has made leaps and bounds of progress. They tailored her training to work with us and our preferences, and they have been extremely helpful in her leash and outside training. She has now gone on two very successful walks where she has learned the command "With me" and generally stays by my side and pays great attention to us outside, we're over the moon about this progress.
I'd have paid $500 for their training, it's truly worth it if you have a reactive or extremely social dog/puppy who needs help. You have to be consistent on your training at home, but they teach you the skills and the games that help so much. Will definitely be using them again in the future for any other dogs we get.
