Over priced and dangerous. I recently purchased this cat tree/scratch post for my less than one-year-old kitten. After four months of use this is what it looks like. The one I had prior to that lasted almost 5 years before it needed to be replaced and was put together much better. I would recommend you going to Aldergrove and buying a cat tree from the pet store there, not from the ones that are sold at Petsmart. The ones sold at Petsmart use half inch staples to secure their carpet to the wood base of the cat tree. These staples are not the correct staples. I have been in the commercial and industrial upholstery business for 20 years and these are not the right product for this application. These staples will come right back out of the hole that they went into. And are a dangerous choking hazard for any small cat or large cat for that matter. I am returning mine after four months and I will be getting a refund. Always make sure that you keep your receipts for stuff like this or have it emailed to you because otherwise, if you have a health issue regarding the products that they’re selling, they won’t give you your money back. They will force you to take a gift card or store credit because everybody knows that you want to go back and shop at a store that tried to kill your pet. or sold products that could’ve potentially killed your pet. I don’t think I will be shopping at Petsmart anymore.
