Phil Circle is a great musician and an even better coach/teacher. I was a mediocre acoustic guitar player who would rarely even sing to myself in the shower before I started with him. I worked with Phil over the course of two years and (although I haven't quit my day job) now I play solo gigs on a regular basis. Could not have imagined the improvement I experienced. YouTube videos were a good resource for a while, but if you really want to improve, you cannot beat the constructive feedback you'll get from a seasoned, talented, and patient musician like Phil Circle. If only there were six stars!

Phil is more than a guitar teacher. He's a coach, a guide, a great source of knowledge, positivity and encouragement. There are a ton of guitar videos online but there is no substitute for having someone like Phil hands on guide you to and help you reach your goals. He will help you identify areas where you struggle. Break down different approaches while keeping you focused and motivated to move forward.

I've done a lot with Phil Circle over the past few years with guitar lessons. From technique, to interpretation, to mental state while practicing or performing, to composition. I am a dramatically better player than I was three years ago when we sat down for the first time. I also now have a half dozen or so compositions I'm really proud of, written in that time frame.
At the center of everything with Phil is musicality, and how it can be used to further your own well-being. Like many, I don't play for a living... but Phil helped focus on playing for living and I'm grateful for the time we've spent together on this.
