I've had nothing but problems with Dr Woolf, and this office from the start (a few years ago.) . My first visit with him was regarding my asthma problems. I told him about my asthma and was requesting asthma medication, to which he immediately interjected saying "I'M NOT PRESCRIBING YOU NARCOTICS!" I didn't really know how to react in the moment because I was coming to him FOR breathing problems and narcotics CAUSE breathing problems. So he pegged me as a "drug seeker" right off the bat. Fine. I dont actually want narcotics anyways so that doesn't affect me anyways (I guess until a break an arm but I'll worry about that when the time comes.) . So now the only time I see him is when it's been a year and I need him to write another asthma prescription. And every time I see him I get that same treatment. So this goes on for a few years and now we're in the present. I hurt my foot some how and scheduled an appointment with the doc. I took the day off work and make sure my foot is nice and clean and get to the office. I attempt to check in and am told, "ooo... Yea we went ahead and cancelled your appointment." I paused a second and asked why and why wasn't I notified. She said it's because I hadn't been seen in awhile so I needed to reschedule for another appointment to catch up with the doc. To which I replied, "well I still have this injured foot that I think needs to get checked out before it gets worse, can't catching up wait for the sake of my health?" Apparently not, she told me to go ahead and try an urgent care. So, I did. The urgent care tells me it's most likely a fracture. So they put me in a walking boot (kind of like a cast but plastic and velcro) and tell me that I need to see my doc immediately within two weeks. So I call my doc office back to schedule another appointment. I explain this to the nurse (and they can see what the urgent care posted on the charts via their screen) and she says she'll have to get a hold of Dr woolf and let him know how urgent it is. When she called me back she told me "Dr woolf said he still wants to do the 'reestablish' visit and since it's a much longer time slot he won't see you for three weeks." Meanwhile I'm hobbling around like some kind of pirate with a bargain mart peg leg still unsure of what exactly is wrong with my foot. All because this doctor wants to some bogus policy ahead of actually caring for my health. I can't tell if he's intentionally being an arrogant (word I shouldn't use on here) to me personally, or if he's just "doctor happy" to all his patients. In Summary, if you're looking for a doc/clinic who actually cares about peoples well being, I'd try another place.
