I've eaten at Pho Thai various times before and enjoy their food, however my most recent trip I was left flabbergasted by the service. The server failed to correctly hear our order or double check with us, then proceeded to give us dishes without identifying them. We were confused by the food on our table but were reassured that it was correct, but they gave us the tab and it was incorrect. They messed up 2 out of 3 appetizers and didn't provide another item, they also rung up more expensive items then we ordered. I was more than willing to pay, however I wanted to pay for what I ordered, not what the server thought they heard. I told them I will gladly pay for what I asked for, which the total would only come out to be a bit less then their incorrect bill, however they continued to push the issue.
Along with that, they also made a racist remark to a friend of mine, assuming he was Korean, and seeming displeased by the fact that he is indeed Korean did not take him seriously.
The young manager and server who were on staff were clearly inexperienced, which is okay, everyone starts somewhere, and I understand because I as well work in a restaurant and know that mistakes can happen, but the unapologetic attitude of the management was unexcusable. The server was rather nice and understood their mistake but the management was uncooperative and rather rude. Why they fought tooth and nail for something so easily fixable is beyond me.
Service was just terrible (not to mention racist), won't be going again.
This is the restaurant that made me LOVE pho. I've been coming here for years at least once a month, and it's held up each time as the best. Everything on their menu is absolutely scrumptious! This place has seen me on my best and worst days, to say it's a comfort zone doesn't even begin to cover it.
Anyways, if you're hungry, eat here! Thurs, Fri, Sat are the busiest days, so prepare to wait about 20-30 minutes for food.
(Plus, the Pineapple Boba tastes just like Dolewhip, which only makes this place even better!)
