April 8, 2023 I respectfully to: US Government Pierce County at Tacoma Washington State. My Name is Hoi Tran. My Birthday is 01-01-1963. My address is 15207 Portland Ave SW Lakewood WA 98498. Today I am writing this letter sending to the government , to express gratitude for help people like me . First of all, I would like to apologize because my English is very poor so there will be many spelling mistakes when I writing.
I also want to say that the staff working here are very dedicated and happy to help us. There is also a Vietnamese staff here. Her name is Huong. She is also very cheerful and dedicated to help us, every time we come here needing help.

I am learning that the assistance program applications are reviewed only one day per month. If you are a person facing eviction, you are probably living hour-to-hour and scrambling to form a plan to either leave or afford to stay in your housing. The admin. here are telling you to stay in your housing and not leave. They never told me that they wouldn't even read my application to process it for another 6 weeks. I didn't have weeks and weeks to wait. I was already on borrowed time, so-to-speak.
By doing that, you generate a bigger bill for yourself, in your name, that you cannot afford, and then the admin say they are out of funding.
The smarter move is to become homeless and sleep outside on the ground while working a fulltime job. Don't build up more and more debt. Otherwise, you will end up in debt and homeless, eventually. It's better to be homeless without all of that debt because you'll be able to get yourself out of homelessness easier.
If you ruin your credit rating staying in an apartment at the advice of Pierce County Human Services, and then they don't help you at all, then that's worse than when you started.
