Pike Fitness is how I think every gym/fitness center should be, this place is amazing. The owners are extremely smart, professional, polite, and kind people. Jeff and Steve are very well-educated in strength and conditioning and I've seen them train people of all ages and fitness levels. The facility and equipment are all well-kept and of great quality. There is a lot of space in the gym and with their reservation system you are always guaranteed access to pretty much any weight, machine, or space you want to use. I've been a member of many gyms through the years and this is my favorite one by far.
They also have a smartphone application through which they can create a customized workout plan for you. The app allows you to track your weight and reps for each exercise and has descriptive videos for how to do them. Having my workout already decided for each day makes going to the gym a lot more enjoyable and takes away the hassle of trying to come up with a workout plan of my own.
Membership fees are as good as it gets around here and especially when you consider customized access to their smartphone app I think Pike fitness cannot be beat. I highly recommend this gym!
My wife and I went to Pike Fitness to learn how to Squat, Dead Lift, Bench, in other words strength training. We are members of another gym over in Benicia but that does not matter to Pike Fitness, they are only interested in helping us get a good work out. We purchased three one hour sessions with Steve, he listened to us patiently as we described what our goals were that we wanted to accomplish. He did not try and get us into anything that did not fit our goals, just listened made a few suggestion's and then he got to work, helping us understand the equipment and how all this lifting stuff works. Steve has a grounded, calm and patient, yet encouraging energy, he is great to work with, giving us lots of instruction, pointers and encouragement along the way. Pike Fitness is an awesome place, it too has good energy. If your at all wanting to improve your work outs, I would recommend you give them a call, I did and am am glad I did! I think you will be too.
