Stayed on camps 8 & 9 with friends and family on 7/7-7/9/23. At first I was underwhelmed of how close all the camps were and the noise from the streets. However, it’s is a clean camp and I love that snow summit is right next to it. Also it’s close to markets and Big Bear village. Our camps were on a slope so it was a pain taking our stuff up and down the slope and walk to the bathroom and our cars. Everyone was respectful and bathrooms were clean. The bathrooms only had 1 stall per gender so it got crowded a few times. I was forced to use then mens room at times. Overall, we loved our time, but could do without the city noise. Lots of sirens and cars driving by near our camp, but the bathroom was in front and that’s a plus when you have kids. We took an evening nature walk and we saw a bear on camp 46. So yea, bears do come around. It looked like a teenager, not exactly a cub and not a full adult. It was truly an adventure for the kids.

Really beautiful place for camping, camp host is very nice and the bathrooms are always clean. Actually 5 star for cleanness, camp host and location. I am only giving 4 stars because camp grounds are not even and it's little difficult to find flat ground for setting up tents. Over all very happy with our experience. We were a group of 24 and we had booked 3 sites

This place is hard to find but driving to the left end of Snow Summit parking lot you find the sign beside the employee parking sign. This is a lovely, peaceful setting but the tables, bear boxes and fire rings are all quite a ways from each site's parking, either uphill or down so it is definitely not for the physically challenged. There are also rocks and roots to stumble over everywhere. We used site 19, next to a restroom, right at the edge of the forest. There is a steep hill down to the table and a rock lined path to the large tent site. Challenging but feels private. The other drawback is noisy vehicles on the road beyond the edge of the campground. If you like counting airliners passing overhead you will love this area. Seems to be under the Ontario airport incoming flight path.
