Laura Hill was the person who I worked with. I was currently working for a company that paid me slightly less than I thought I was worth. Laura contacted me on behalf of a company that she claimed had contracted her to find them a new maintenance manager. She asked me if I was interested in considering new opportunities and whether I was happy where I was. I told her I thought I could do better and that I really needed to make a little more money. I decided to interview with the company she was representing. The interviews went well and an offer was extended. When she delivered me the offer it was roughly the same as what I was making and with less time off and worse benefits. I told her I wanted to stay where I was. She wasn't happy because if I didn't except she didn't get paid for placing me. I apologized for wasting her time and reminded her that I had explained up front why I was considering moving to another company. Subsequently she notified the HR manager at my employer that I was looking for work and I was terminated about a month later during the first round of layoffs. I had been with the company for five years and had never received a bad review. I later found out that she knows the HR manager from some HR society that she was affiliated with. I consider this super shady and it really effected my life in a terrible way. Stay away from Pinnacle Recruiting. They are all about the cash and don't care about the employee just the companies that hire them to hunt you.
