Alternator was misbehaving on a trip. They fit me in quick and rather than impulsively replacing the alternator, found it was the sense wire for a quite inexpensive fix. Mechanic came out and showed me a few other potential problems I could look at myself later, and showed me what he did with the new wire (nicely laid and tied up)

Called about a blown head gasket worry, as it was diagnosed from a dealer upon a routine oil change. But wasn't having any of the usual signs.
They offered to get the car in first thing the very next morning, and checked it out, and gave it the all clear.
