This is a great place for a field trip to experience bits of how pioneer life was for the students of the Little House series and this era in US history. There's a schoolhouse, blacksmith building, barn, authentic cabins, and other areas with chores to try (pounding cornmeal, milling flour, grinding coffee, churning butter, washboard laundering, and much more!). Our group got to make our own candles this time. Tours are available for school classes and homeschool groups.

My kids attended summer camp here and they had the most wonderful time. Everyone went above and beyond to make it an incredible week. It was such a cool hands on experience with really great people. My kids learned a lot, made some really cool art, and had so much fun. I cannot recommend enough!

Wow, such a different museum and experience. They have different farm animals that the kids could interact with. Students are invited to milk the cows or ride the carriage. Very interactive.
Restrooms are an experience itself 😱. There is no sewer system, so you figure.
