Robert is an excellent craftsman, and I will definitely use him again. He refinished a 1950’s maple dresser that had water and drool damage from dogs that were short-term residents in my home. One caveat, on the expensive side - so the furniture needs to be worth it to you:) Thank you, Robert!
Robbie fixed my grandfather clock's wooden case, which had been damaged in a move. It took a little while and cost more than the initial estimate due to having more damage than I originally thought, but I was in no rush and am very happy with how it looks now.
You'll get a very different experience than you would expect with a bigger business. He really took the time to explain what he was planning to do to fix the clock. He doesn't take credit cards, the best way to communicate with him is phone calls, and you have to use a treasure map on the website to find the place (no, Google Maps won't cut it). An adventure!
Robbie, the owner of Plum Studio furniture restoration, just finished another great job for me. He repaired two beautiful old, cherry dining chairs that had come apart from much age and use. Robbie knows his craft, and it shows in the results.
His studio is down an alley just west of Eastlake. There is an inconspicuous sign at the alley. Try him! It’s great to have such skilled craftspeople in the neighborhood.
