UPDATE Nov. 23: We have escaped! After this month, we will not longer need to do business with PCM. This is thanks to exceptional leadership in our community who took swift and decisive action once we were empowered to do so. Hopefully PCM improves. In the meantime, God Bless all of you who must live under their influence.
ORIGINAL (Spring'22): I recommend against using Ponderosa Community Management for any of your needs, however small. They have poor follow-through, an attribute that could be partially mitigated with clear communication... which they also do not have. They do not understand the communities they manage -- they have the unfortunate track record of simultaneously being slow and unresponsive on issues with near unanimous community support, while being carelessly hurried on divisive issues or issues that lack any community support. They have a no-can-do attitude, and will ensure that all priorities aside from that of the community are weighed first. Ponderosa Community Management, in my experience and in my opinion, is a disaster. I would recommend those who aren't working with them to stay away, and those that are currently working with them (God bless you) to seek alternatives in a timely fashion. It is possible the way they run their business, that they won't be around long. You don't want to be caught off-gaurd searching for a new contract. Personally, I am looking forward to the day our community is completed and we have the ability to replace Ponderosa Community Management. The day is coming, and I believe the rest of the community is just as excited as I am. I have no confidence in Ponderosa Community Management, and for that reason, I am rating them 1 star which, truth be told, is one star too many.
