After dealing with sporadic leaks in our kitchen following heavy rainstorms, we decided to engage Porter Family Roofing & Construction to assess and repair a section of our roof. Initially, we encountered some difficulties in arranging for an estimator to visit - in one instance, they were unable to make the appointment and were over an hour away, necessitating a rescheduling. The follow-up evaluation appointment was only about 10 minutes behind schedule. The evaluation was swift, taking just 10 minutes, and the quote was delivered the following day. The administrative team was prompt in assisting me with the completion of the necessary paperwork and in setting up an appointment for the work to be carried out. As per their policy, jobs are confirmed the Friday before the week of the scheduled job. They will then inform you of the date and approximate time of the job on the preceding Friday. Our schedule experienced some minor disturbances mainly due to heat index cancellations (which was completely understandable) and priority given to other jobs, which slightly delayed our queue. However, their transparency regarding these issues was much appreciated. Finally, after about a month and a half since our initial engagement with the company, considering all the delays, we were given an appointment. On the morning of the appointment, they sent a photo of the job crew, led by Miguel, along with an estimated time of arrival. Both these details were accurate. Miguel and his crew were a pleasure to work with, provided clear information about the work that needed to be done, and maintained open communication about any unforeseen issues or queries they had. Approximately 20% of our roof was stripped and replaced, a task they accomplished in roughly 5-6 hours. Despite minor setbacks, I would recommend Porter Family Roofing & Construction and would likely engage their services again for any future roofing needs.
