Porter Valley Test Only

I've gone to Dale for at least 10 years for my smog checks, and always recommend him to family and friends. His shop is clean, welcoming, and I feel safe :) Dale is a super duper honest and an all around great guy. You'll realize this as you talk to him in the first minute - so nice and cordial. The last time I was there, it was a warm summer day, and I told him I would walk over to McDonalds on the other side of the plaza for a soda while he did the smog check. He told me not to bother and asked me my beverage of choice, and handed me a diet Dr Pepper. Gotta love the guy!

His shop is a Star Certified Test Only station, so he does no repairs - only testing, so make sure your car is running well with no check engine lights.

Nobody really likes getting a smog check, but he makes it so painless and worry free. I only live a couple of minutes away, but would even travel across town just because I trust him.

I have no affiliation with Dale or the shop, but feel he deserves the 5 stars for being so great. Dale - I know you can retire and you're running this shop just to keep busy, but I hope you stay open forever! :D

What I worry about now is the influx of people coming to your shop because of all these positive reviews and that you'll be too busy for me. Hope not. See you at my next smog check!

Very convenient. I did not have an appointment, however, my wait was under 20 minutes. Once the test started, it went quick. Dale was very personable, and his shop was clean.

I'm so glad I found Porter Valley to take my car for a Star Smog test! From the first time I called to taking my car, Dale was so kind. I did not have an appointment but I called first to ask if I could take in my car. It took about 20 minutes for the test to be done. Dale is such a kind soul and so chill; I am super grateful I found him. As a female, I unfortunately have dealt with rude guys when it comes to taking my car in, but this was not the case. I DEFINITELY recommend him and his business and will be recommending to friends and family members. Thank you Dale! You're awesome !
