Great wine at super affordable prices. And we are Sonoma wine country snobs. Lol. Great service too on huge shaded lawn. Also free fast Tesla destination chargers!
Strangely right beside suburbia.
Powers is the first winery that I decided to be a member of. The reason I did was twofold. The first reason is that Powers is my neighborhood and I want to support local businesses in my community whenever possible. The second reason, and most importantly, is that Powers Winery is an understated gem with some of the best tasting wines around regardless of price. In an area with more vineyards and wine makers than can be listed on both sides of several pages of legal sized paper, Powers would be in my top 5. Granted, I’m not a wine expert by any means, but I’ve drunk enough wine all over the world during the last 20 years to know what I like (big, bold reds and crisp, dry whites) and Powers will still be in that top 5 list.
They produce complex wines with incredible balance; something I very much appreciate. I’m not a fan of wines with a lot of tannin so the Powers wines match my palate very nicely, but even their young Cab’s where the tannin comes through, its balanced beautifully within the wine so as not to overwhelm. To my way of thinking, this makes for wines that are a joy to drink at any time once they’ve been released.
