I was going for every day living skills. I explained to them my health conditions and the extent of them have also been since birth along with the 329 surgeries due to my medical conditions. Did they listen no instead they went a head and still had me doing things that they were told that I absolutely can not do. This has now caused me a lot of massive pain with my right shoulder which has been messed more since my last appointment with them on Wednesday. They were informed of my Spina Bifida and all the other issues that come with it. I can hardly use my righ arm because of the pain they caused in my right side of my shoulder and it's radiated down my entire right arm. They didn't seem to care when thery were told that I'm not there to be a Olympic star they did listen to any of the request or what the doctor wrote in the referral. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Helga's House Of Pain sound more like it to me. I'm sorry that was rude of me calling it Helga's House Of pain. But seriously can you blame me for calling it Helga's House Of Pain Honesty? They really need to learn to know more about their clients.I'm really hoping g that relief starts soon.

While the receptionists and therapists at PT Northwest were generally friendly and helpful, I found the place to be overall unpleasant, and I would not return. This was due to one main reason: it is unprofessional and potentially dangerous to have an untrained dog running around a physical therapy facility. This is not a legitimate service dog but rather a pet (or possibly an emotional support animal) who is kept here. During my time there, I saw it displaying inappropriate behavior several times. I already spoke to someone about this on the phone, but I felt I should write a review for those who are allergic or simply uncomfortable/ afraid around dogs.

I have something called Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). It’s a rare form of Rheumatoid Arthritis I encourage you to look it up if your curious.

I was diagnosed in 2020. I was hurt at work and not progressing the way anyone thought I should. Devin Hughes was working with me and asked "Do you have spinal fusion?” I said no he replied "You don’t bend right" That short exchange was the catalyst of discovering my AS. To which I am eternally grateful. I tell that story to anyone who will listen and now it’s out for the world to see.

Fast forward 4 years to today I am back at PTNW for a refresher and some guidance and Dr. Richard Larson is my therapist and I could not be happier. Just this morning Dr. Larson had me working on many different things. Normally I am not able to be comfortable without medication (Aleve). I totally forgot about my meds after my session this morning because of the work Dr. Larson had me doing.

AS is genetic and has been with me since birth and i will die with it. I am confident that the treatment I am getting and have gotten at PTNW will help me in ways I could never envision. I love this place and all the people in it. I am not able to do the things I used to do (ice hockey, long distance running and surfing) but I am able to play with my boys.

I discussed with my doctor physical therapy PTNW was the only place I would consent to go. If your hurt and in need of physical therapy of any kind. I cannot recommend PTNW enough. Compassion Competence and Counsel are the things that make a medical professional good in my humble opinion. PTNW has an abundance of all of those.

PTNW team thank you for EVERYTHING you have done and will do. I love you all and will see you soon.
