As others have mentioned this property is managed by ptla. Ptla notoriously does not respond quickly to service requests, does not seemingly take your problems seriously, and will withhold your security deposit for typical wear and tear cleaning. The latter not being legal in Washington State (RCW 59.18.280). Ptla sent a notice of typical move out costs associated with my security deposit. Among them are charges for cabinetry, painting, and carpet cleaning. Carpet cleaning and painting are typical wear and tear items for apartments as established in the state legislature. I attempted to call the office to discuss the legitimacy of these being charged upon move out, and was instead given the run around. I was told "we'll have someone call you back. After 4-5 days I have yet to receive a call. I would recommend leasing elsewhere if at all possible.
PTLA commented directly on this review, and has yet to reach out some weeks later. Directly proving the kind of service they provide. They don't have answers for their actions, so you get the run around endlessly.
I wish I could leave a lower rating. This is the worst rental experience either my partner or I have ever had. Management is incredibly rude and unhelpful, Lacey in the business office especially was unbelievably rude and unpleasant. As for the apartment itself, we lived in Rainier Apts. and it was absolutely terrible. The campus was always dirty and poorly kept. When we moved out, they charged us for many regular wear and tear items, and even drip pans which under Washington State law is not appropriate. There’s a long list of ways that they were greedy or unprofessional or rude.
In 10 years of renting I have never had such an awful experience, and anyone who wants to rent with PTLA. DONT. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.
Okay now I am scared of moving out to PTLA property management because it doesn't seem they care about the people who live in and I agree that they are rude and also if they are going to charge me for everything is not working properly in the apartment I'm so scared I don't want to pay for the maintenance of the building
Update: they show me first a apartment and I got a different apartment and different location and no mention the place smelled soooo bad I mean it smells really bad and I have to clean the whole place because the smell and the shower is gross, the toilet 🤢 everything inside is so old that I'm scared of touching the doors cuz they about to broke down 👎🏽 the office people rude and they seems they always in a bad mood, the whole apartment is falling apart and I feel like they may going to charge me for everything is broken in the apartment I'm so scared don't waste your money with them. Oh also I call them multiple times and they don't answer the phone so I have to go personally and they were just sitting seems like just chilling, they don't care and they have enough staff but nobody is doing they jobs :(
