I will not be coming back! I know there are other establishments with better food and service--dont waste your time.
I order the ribeye steak over fries, I requested it medium and it came out well done and it was a tough piece of meat. I advised the staff of the issue and they removed from bill but there was no apology or attempt to reconcile, and no manager attention.
The waiter was not friendly at all and he offered no greeting or salutations after we were seated. He was so disconnected and unattentively that I assumed he was a busser. There was no explanation of the menu or suggestions. And to be honest, during situations like this I would have left, but due to the down pouring of rain, I didn't want leave and go somewhere else.....but against my better judgment we stayed. Never again.
I met my friends there for dinner at their suggestion. They live just around the corner so it's a frequent spot for them. They raved about the food and the first thing that caught my eye on the menu was the fish and chips. I asked our server to make sure that the fries were crispy. That was my only suggestion. No substitutions, no nothing. The food runners brought our food about 12 to 15 minutes later. I asked for malt vinegar as I don't prefer tartar sauce. It never came. Our waiter came around and take another drink order and I asked him for the vinegar at that time and he brought it immediately. It didn't help.
The breading was crispy on the outside but doughy on the inside next to the fish. There was one giant strangely shaped lump of fish instead of two fish fillets that you would normally get in an order.
The fries were limp even though I ordered crispy. My friend had fries with her burger and they were done exactly the same way.
Place isn't exactly an Irish pub it's just kind of an Irish-style pub but they have a lot of Irish favorites on the menu. I expected more. I got less.
Edit for typo.
Pub Thirty Two is very close to my house and a great bar to stop in for a drink after work or on the weekends. They have a full bar, whiskey tasting, and multiple beers on draft or tap. From all the times I have been it's a hybrid of younger adults as well as older couples and families that attend so good for many occasions. My favorite go to food option is the short rib & mash with a couple prankster beers on tap. One recommendation I have is to ask about an item before you order if if you are unsure about it. I ordered "Portobello Fries" thinking they were fries and got fried mushrooms and was "SOL" according to my waiter. That was my only bad experience in a handful of good experiences.
I went in again recently for lunch and dinner. Lobster Bisque with a grilled cheese hits different on a rainy day for lunch, and their short rib n mash is great for dinner. Pics attached.
