I’ve been seeing Amity for quite some time. I originally started seeing her for my ADHD but when some traumatic things happened to me, I started seeing her for different medication needs (panic/anxiety). She is such a treasure and truly makes me feel seen, heard and cared for. It brings tears to my eyes, she is truly an angel on this earth and her compassion has really saved me. I am so grateful for puget mental care.
The front desk is really responsive and friendly. I hate calling to make appointments (anxiety, hello) - so their responsiveness with email is really nice. I like the receptionists. I have to bring my two toddlers sometimes which is irritating to me lol but front desk ladies are always so nice and friendly to my kids. Also amity will bring out bins of toys for them while we chat. It’s just so nice. Love this place
I have been a patient of Dr. Brosius since mid-summer 2021. I have had nothing but positive experiences not only with him but with everybody at the clinic. Everything has gone extremely smoothly, the medication management has been on point, everyone has been very responsive to any communication or questions I have presented to them, and most importantly I feel that the process of getting my mental health on track has been a partnership. There has been no "take two of these and call me in the morning." Everything has been "feel free to contact me whenever for whatever if help is needed."
Thank you Dr. Brosius, I owe you one.
I have been a patient with Puget Mental Care for the last year. When I made my appointment for initial evaluation I was not informed that my insurance was not in network specifically or thereafter at any of my appointments for the duration of my time as a patient with them. As a result, I was accumulating a bill that was not being covered by insurance. I was finally informed of the situation via email 2 days before my most recent appointment for medication refill; an appointment I had made 3 months in advance. The email was not sent from a recognizable name titled "A K" and under subject "insurance issue." I did not open the email as it looked like spam. I drove an hour to get to my appointment only to find out this information and asked how I would like to pay the over $500 bill that had accrued over the last year. When I voiced my concern about needing to still be seen that day for NECESSARY medication refill I was then told by their receptionist, Agnes, that she would have to call me back about an extension and that if I wanted to be seen that day, at my original blocked appointment time, I would need to pay a full balance for that appointment and to call my insurance company to inquire further regarding the issue. She was not kind and did not seem to care about the fear I had for leaving without my medication. I left without resolve and feeling like I was not taken care of as their patient. I was also NEVER called by their clinic about medication extension. Due to the abruptness of information they provided, it did not give me much time to find, schedule, and see a new provider in order to have continued care for medication management. Overall, I feel this situation was a major oversight on Puget Mental Care's part. I work in the medical field and it concerns me that they would conduct their business practices the way they did, especially when dealing with patients on medications for mental and emotional regulation. I do not recommend this facility for good medical care due to oversight and lack of communication.
