I have been a client of Pure Dental Care for over three years now and have found Dr. Shih and her staff to be accommodating, knowledgeable, efficient, and budget conscious.
Like many people I struggle to go to the dentist due to a combination of fears associated with needles, the potential for discovering bad news, and the general dislike of having power tools operating in my mouth. To top it all off I have chronic jaw mobility issues that severely limit a dentist’s ability to even get to my teeth. Dr. Shih and her staff have never made me feel problematic or burdensome when helping me find accommodations for my needs, ranging from using alternative dosing schedules for numbing shots to working with my limited jaw mobility.
Dr. Shih has always been patient and helpful when explaining various dental concerns to me particularly as it relates to identifying a plan of care and treatment. She has also always taken time to address the results of x-rays, exams, and any questions I may have.
I have consistently had my appointments begin at the scheduled time and have never encountered a situation where my appointment took longer than I was told it would. For an office with one dentist that commonly serves two clients at a time, I have often been impressed by the staff’s time management and never felt neglected or rushed.
Lastly, I have found Dr. Shih and her staff to be extremely knowledgeable about what is and is not covered by my personal insurance and helpful in reconciling my benefits against an intended plan of care. I have encountered both situations where Dr. Shih advised me of an optional procedure that I could take advantage of to maximize the usage of my benefits, as well as a situation where she recommended a procedure but cautioned that it would be out of pocket. In neither situation did I feel in any way pressured to undergo any dental work.
I would recommend Pure Dental Care to anyone seeking a dentist, without hesitation.
