I'm heartbroken, so understand this is a biased review. I couldn't believe my luck to score 2 tickets to see whose line is it anyway being taped. The instructions say to show up at 4 pm and to show up 15 minutes early rather than 5 minutes late as it is a first come, first serve basis. So, we did just that.
Unfortunately, we didn't know that those instructions actually meant show up 1-2 hours early to be guaranteed. We watched person after person be accepted in before us (despite showing up 30 minutes after us). After a full hour of waiting in a very slow moving line, we were told that they had no more available seats in the studio for the remaining 56 of us still in line. However, because they made us wait, the best they could do would be guarantee us tickets to a future taping with "VIP tickets" (hence all the other mass amounts of people who showed up after us being let in, preventing us from seeing that day's taping).
Why give out SO many tickets? Some people are only in town for 1 day. I won't lie, this has really soured my views of the show and I'm kind of just done. I just don't want to watch it which is so sad because I have such fond memories but genuinely this is such a black cloud over all of that. There has to be a better solution than "oh well, see you next time, guaranteed!"
I drove from Philadelphia for this... to be turned away after following their instructions and waiting for an hour... super messed up.
