I ordered a Violette de Bordeaux fig tree from Raintree Nursery and it arrived in perfect condition. The fig was shipped at the optimum planting time for my area (south Alabama). Great customer support.

I did not visit the nursery but purchased 3 grafted trees online (including one that 4 varieties on one root stock). I have to say that I did it somewhat reluctantly because of past experience with trees ordered from a different company but this was the only place I could find the varieties I was looking for. All I can say is that I am beyond happy I did, it has only been about a month since I planted the trees but they are doing so well so far. The trees were sturdy with plenty of branches and at this point every single branch has buds. I would definitely recommend Raintree Nursery to a friend in a heart beat and will make them my first stop when shopping for more trees. Update: much to my surprise, one of the mirabelle tree even produced a couple blooms. This makes me hopeful that they will thrieve in Michigan!

Received my second fig tree. I am trying to grow in the ground in Iowa, so it is a challenge. The first fig, a Chicago Hardy, has made it through two winters and had about 10 figs last year (see photo). This is partly due to the quality of Raintree stock. The second fig is out of the nursery pot, temporarily in a container. It arrived in very good shape, with a big healthy root ball. I hope to have both for many years.
