I stopped by Rapha when I was looking for Stamp Act beans and realized they have them at their coffee bar! Had a latte as well and walked around in the store. Very neat display and great variety. There is a lounge area where customers can relax and enjoy a little exhibition of cycling race memorabilia. The staff is nice, even though I was there just to have a cup of coffee they were pretty friendly.
Bought a base layer from Rapha. It developed holes in it a few weeks after. Customer service said it’s not covered by warranty. Ok, I kept riding with holes in my clothing. A year later, it just tore apart. I reached out again. Customer service gave me a coupon that ended up not working on their own web site.
Meanwhile, my 5 year old base layer from Uniqlo that cost literally one tenth of Rapha’s one still looks and works like new after heavy use over the years. I thought that you pay a premium for quality and customer service, but in my case I haven’t gotten either.
