Out of all the studios I’ve been to, I haven’t found another that’s a better environment for inspiration and creativity. The studio is spacious, bright, warm, and clean, and it’s community oriented in the best way. It’s easy to make friends, get inspired, and learn from folks with so much kindness and knowledge in this beautiful space.
In my experience as a teaching artist at RECC, this studio treats and compensates its instructors incredibly well, which is reflected in their instruction and interactions with students. I’ve also never before felt more welcome as a queer person of color in a ceramics studio. There are many art spaces in Seattle where I’ve felt like the odd one out, but that is definitely not the case at RECC. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
