Update 11/9/19. I received a call from Susan on Tuesday that the clock was ready for pickup. We picked it up today and Steve patiently explained his work which seems to be detailed and intricate. I think they are trying to work through the backlog and their lack of ongoing communication has probably caused much of their reputational problems. They are nice people struggling to catch up and I wish them the best. I’ve upped the rating with a caution to not expect a quick turnaround due to the nature of the work (that shouldn’t be rushed) and to the backlog.
My elderly mother dropped off her antique family heirloom clock 2 years ago with a $350 deposit and an 8-9 month time estimate. Since then we have called for updates at least 8 times and get excuses or no answer. If they can’t get to their backlog, why are they taking on new business?
