The wide gaps around the door frames that allow light and noise in coupled with the antiquated elevators here are enough to deter me from staying again. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My one star review is actually focused on Marriott corporate and less on this specific property and its employees. The fact that Marriott thinks the large door gaps and old elevators are suitable for their customers and employees speaks volumes.
Anyhow, my major gripe is that that Marriott works on a so called Bonvoy points system and someone by the name of “Scott” seems to have partial or full ownership of my account. The front desk, while very friendly, was unable to resolve the issue. I tried the website and after entering personal information was instructed to call an 800 number where I spoke with a very friendly representative who agreed that “Scott” was the name on the account and because that didn’t match my name they couldn’t help either.
I have several months of domestic and foreign travel coming up with work over the next couple of years. Since Marriott can’t seem to help me with getting the account sorted I’ve came up with my own solution which is to boycott all 38 names under the Marriott umbrella and I look forward to the challenge. Kindly go pound sand.
