We had the pleasure of working with Matt at Rewind Photography as our photographer for our wedding this past April. We had interview a few photographers but we knew as soon as our meeting ended with Matt, we know he was our guy. My husband and I both said to each other “he is the type of guy we would both want around on our wedding day”.

Matt was professional, kind and technical in his work but made everything so easy and smooth for us. We decided to do an engagement shoot with Matt which was one of my most favorite experiences with him! An hour before the shoot it was thundering and lighting so I figured we should cancel but Matt came through with a positive attitude and the knowledge to know things will shape up and we would have an amazing sky to shoot in front of. He was so right! Matt changed our engagement shoot location (which ended up working out so perfect) and the shoot was a huge success. Matt was in the ocean up to his knees to get some shots. I am so thankful we did this shoot with him not only because of the beautiful pictures we received but also because this gave us an opportunity to prepare for the actual wedding shoot together.

The day of the wedding there was so much going on but as soon as I saw Matt I felt a sense of relief! He was so great all day. He gave my bridesmaids and I tips on how to pose, he was so patient with our wedding party of (17) and would show sneak peeks throughout the day which was really fun for everyone!

I could go on and on but all I have to say is Matt Roberts is an amazing wedding photographer not only for the skill he has in capturing pictures but his calm and kind personality which is what you want on your wedding day! He also had a wonderful assistant on the day of who helped capture shots from every angle. They worked so well together.

Words can't describe how amazing Matt is! My husband and I recently eloped in Santa Barbara and faced some dark clouds in regards to heavy rain the day of and both of us catching bronchitis just two days before.

Matt worked with us to shoot over two days in order to capture our vision for our photos. Not only was he incredibly accommodating but his high level of experience was very obvious. He clearly scouted both locations ahead of our shoot times to check lighting, etc. He knew the best places at the courthouse for the most amazing shots.

On our second day, we shot at our hotel (the El Encanto) and he was able to maximize our limited time to get all of the best shots on the property. To top it all off, he turned around our final photos in about a week. If you are looking for an expert to perfectly capture your wedding/elopement/micro-wedding--really any occasion--Matt is your guy! He is also just an all-around pleasure to be around and has amazing energy. Cannot recommend enough!
