-Updated Review Horrible customer service from the Anaheim terminal. They are dishonest and could care lesss about small clients and their shipments. I have been using R&L for over ten years, but stopped using them in 2019 due to the horrible customer service from dispacth. In 2020 we opened a location in Los Angeles and started using R&L again, the service from the LA terminal was great, from dispatch to drivers. However, in April, 2021 I opene another location in Orange County that is serviced by the Anaheim terminal. On our first shipment this terminal fialed to pickup our shipment and lied about the reason why.
I was never notified the pickup was canceled, they just did not show up. When I called to find out what happened they stated the driver showed up by that we had not shipnment to be picked up. This was a lie, I spent all they waiting for them and they never showed.
When I informed them I was the only person at the location, and that the driver never came for the shipement, I was told that the pickup was actually cancelled because it was a box not on a pallet.
I informed them I have been shipping all my shipments this way through R&L for the past ten years and it has never been an issue. I was then told it was actually the LA terminal who would not take the shipment without pallets and that is why the Anaheim location could not pickup the shipement.
I proceeded to inform them that I had been shipping from my LA location via the LA terminal for the past year, with the last shipment being last week and never had a problem. They replied that actually the policey went into effect last week....
Horrible service! If you do not want to handle my package just say so, but why have me wait all day and never inform me you are not going to show up, and just make up a laughable insane lies as an excuse.
It pains me not to be able to use R&L just beacuse of the Anaheim terminal when all my shipments handled direclty by the LA terminal have been flawless.
This was the biggest JOKE of a delivery company I have ever worked with.
I ordered a 250lb desk that was supposed to arrive July 8th. They called me on the 6th and said it would be delivered on the 7th from 9-5. I took the day off work and in the middle of the day they call me and tell me the delivery needs to be rescheduled to the next day. I say fine and take the next day off. Then on thee 8th in the middle of the day they called again saying the package was lost.
By this point, the item is late and they begin a "search". I wait AGAIN, and they call me on July 14th and we schedule for today, the 16th.
The delivery men arrived at my house today with only ONE box when there should have been two and it was completely mangled. They were embarrassed to even take it out of their truck. It wasn't their fault, they were hired out by R&L to take the package to my door, but it is an absolute slap on the face by R&L to approve such an item to come to my door. I paid $800 for this desk and these people had no regard for my time or the property they were shipping. I barely got an apology and I've lost a lot of work hours. This company is crooked. Avoid shipping with them at all costs
