I first met Roger I think in 2006 at his little shop in the jewelry district in downtown LA. We’d been walking for two hours, in and out of dozens of shops, and everything had started to look the same. Then we got to Roger’s circular counter and everything looked like nothing we had seen for the last two hours. That day I bought a bracelet that I’ve worn every day since, a beautiful rose quartz and mother of pearl ring for my mother (that literally every time she wears it, someone stops to ask her about it), a lovely ring for myself and I commissioned him to do a matching pendant.
I have bought many (many!) lovely pieces from him in the years that have followed, as have many of my friends and family. When, after 50 long years, I was finally getting engaged, Roger was the only person I wanted to make my ring (and its gorgeous !!). He’s an artist, a friend, and a truly genuine person. We’ve had occasion to also use his appraisal services and have appreciated his honesty and opinions on each piece we have brought to him, or commissioned. He works with beautiful gems, and he is a gem himself.
