Great place and friendly staff. It is smaller than the big ones but mainly because it is what you need for home maintenance except lumber and drywall. I love it.

I prefer shopping at Ace, True Value and smaller hardware stores over the too big Home Depot or Lowe's. I got some beautiful plants, very well priced. I hear the Argonne Ace location has a larger indoor plant area.

I called this morning to ask what the refund policy was for 40lb bag of Ace Hardware Fertilizer. At time of purchase it was stored I believe outside and I assume is why the product upon use was extremely lumpy and would not allow my spreader to evenly apply to my lawn. What was applied to my lawn resulted in a very patchy uneven spread. So as I called I spoke to Charles the Asst General Manager who was very snippy and combative. I explained what happen and his initial response was we had not stored anything outside for 2 weeks. Was he calling me a liar for a general inquiry??? i said understood but i restated it had been 2-3 weeks since my purchase. I got silence and asked does that mean your refund policy won’t apply and combatively said bring the product and receipt in and will mark as defective. Charles was not friendly at all very combative pissy once I return this product I will not be shipping there ever again when there’s are customer focused human centric business near by.
