Trust is earned, lying is not a way to earn trust, if the pharmacy techs can't tell the truth what else are they doing. When I called to complain the same tech answered the phone and she still tried to blame the one that went on break while the lie came from her mouth. The unfortunate issue is they have my medication.
I arrived at the pharmacy the tech said we are filling it please come back in 15min. Well by the time I returned and waited in line it was 25min. Then a different tech said oh yes we just got it I have one person in front of you please come back in about 25min. Then I said well the lady before said come back in 15min, so how can you just got the prescription, she responded something like give me 5 min as I walked away. If I would have remained it may not have turned out well.
No excuse, this is not the first issue at this pharmacy just the first time I took action.
Bottom line: don't trust the tech words.
UPDATE 2/16/2024 - This pharmacy has gone through yet another change in management as well as employees since my last 'review'... for the past two plus years nearly all the pharmacists as well as the technicians have been absolutely AMAZING in every respect! They even remember my and my dog's name each & every time I come in... their service is impeccable & efficient as well as extremely friendly! I feel very fortunate to do my business here!! UPDATE AT END; YES, I agree, the new computer system did throw their service off quite a bit in the beginning but their CUSTOMER SERVICE was the worst I'd ever encountered - especially the female pharmacist as well as techs... THAT said, the new Pharmacist, at that time - "Sirwan" was amazing in ALL RESPECTS!!!!!!! When he was working, even the techs were more personable and effecient! HOWEVER! I WAS NOT PLEASED with Safeway's policy of jacking the pricing on the coupon's they accept! My dog's prescription for Diltiazem went from $24 to $43 PLUS $4.30 TAX!!!!!! The pharmacist just said "Safeway does that".... UPDATE ! The technicians & pharnacists at this time are exemplary! Efficient & always friendly & even address you by name - obviously making the effort to remember your name. A pleasure to do my business here!
