This store is absurd. Selling stuff past the sell by date, overcharging at the register when the shelf says a different price, the employees are miserable, the prices are outrageous, and it’s always a mess.
Also, shame on them for not allowing employees to receive tips. This kid is outside, sweating his butt off, dealing with idiots yelling about their grocery pickup order. We all know you don’t pay them enough, so I try to tip and help out. This is a gross practice. I’m glad you make enough to not need tips. The rest of us do, though. Maybe he could have afforded a Gatorade today.
Usually I don’t like this Safeway. I’ve had bad interactions with the self checkout guy, customer service and another clerk all because of a legitimate deal they weren’t aware of. So they argued with me, didn’t care I had proper reason to say something and wasted 20 mins of my day all to have to fix it in the end because they were all wrong! They get a 0 star review.
Dakota E. Gets 5 stars. Not the associates I mentioned above (nameless) of course. Dakota E was collecting carts when he saw me looking for a garbage can. I asked where the garbage was because my sodas fell off and exploded so I needed to dispose of them. He kindly offered to take the garbage and the cart. He was very nice and helpful. I noticed him when I came into the parking lot gathering carts, working hard and had a smile on his face while doing it.
Customer service is so bad these days that I really appreciate seeing it. He didn’t point me in the direction of the garbage can, he took the initiative to take care of the problem. Kudos to him! He’s a respectable young man and in this day and age it’s very impressive to see. Give that boy a raise or a promotion because he’s exactly the type of employee that makes you want to come back and shop at this Safeway. A++++++
