The location of this safeway is great, its right next to the library and other shops and pretty close to my home. Its very clean and the hot food always smells amazing. The staff is usually polite and will help you if you need it. Their sellection of products is standard for a safeway of this size, which brings me to my biggest complaint. Its way too small, if you're not going at an unusal hour its probably packed full of people and you're squeezing by others to just go down an isle.
Me at the Safeway Deli
Me: May I have one pound of roast beef please.
Lady: You want a sandwich???
Me: No thank you, just one pound of roast beef please.
Lady: Here sir, there you go.. (hands me a block of meat)
Me: Miss, this is like 11 pounds. Could you please slice it up so I have one pound?
Lady: Okay sir, here is meat...
Me: Yes....yes...this is exactly what I wanted....
Are delis not a real thing in Washington? I do not understand how someone does not...understand....how to slice up meat. I just thought this was an April fools prank....then I realized it's only November.
Lady was very nice...but...clearly has no clue.
