Not sure how I got assigned to this Safeway instead of Cap hill. The delivery needs a lot of improvement in terms of accountability for checking if groceries are delivered correctly. More than six pounds of meat were missing from my order.
I was given unrealistic redelivery deadlines and kept getting delayed and delayed. The store delivery team would not answer any calls and just automatically redirected me to customer service. Out of all recommendations, the best I can give is to give the customer the courtesy that redelivery will happen the next day if it cannot be fulfilled the same day and to not lie that a call be returned at 7pm when the delivery will close at 7. Customers have to stay at home to make sure the food can be put away. Will never use Safeway delivery again and will go back to Amazon fresh, at least they’re dependable.
