09/07- The staff on duty was great. I was greeted by most and asked if I needed help. I was shopping to make a sub.
I went to the deli and that's where I dropped my score from 5 🌟 to 3 🌟
I was looking up dates on the meats when I noticed the mold. At that point I put everything back and went to get a JJ sub.

Place was slammed one actual checkout had 5 people in line. Madeline the cashier was getting hounded by a guy that wanted bread (some reason it didnt work, i didnt care). Not "Karen" strong but getting close. She dealt with it gracefully while still setting limits, kept the line moving. The self-checkout manager of with likely a decade extra of experience was more shaken with the work load and Madeline was calm as a cucumber. If i was anything but the lowest man at my job, id offer her one. pay or promote her. A person of that ability will move up in any industry, let alone with the diversity kicker.

There is a employee named TJ at this location that is always hovering over me at the check out like I am not going to pay for some thing I would not mind if maybe he said hello or can I help u but just stares and I feel intimidated by it. I confronted them this time and asked him about it, and all he did was laugh at me and then told me that the manager was upstairs if I would like to talk to him, then proceeded to tell me that I was the only one that told him that, I’ve never had any employee at Safeway ever be that way to me nor have I’ve ever felt one that followed me around the store like he has especially when I’m in the full company uniform and I make over 100 grand a year I buy sushi here every day and I will not be coming in the evening anymore because of him
