Immediately upon entering facility, it felt like I was entering a 5 star hotel. Was greeted by a gentleman named Ken. He was extremely pleasant with an exceptional personality. He was dressed immaculately in a professional suit. I am a visiting nurse and was able to personally witness the interaction between Ken and the residents. He was calling for a caregiver for one resident, ordering food for another and throughly screening me, before I was permitted entry. Ken was so patient and kind to the residents. My destination was the memory care unit. There was a group activity during my visit for all the residents that chose to join. Facility was extremely clean everywhere I visited. All Staff very polite and helpful. Someplace I would enjoy living at time of retirement.

The level of care has declined considerably over the two years that my 99 year-old father has resided at Sage Mountain Newbury Park.
He is blind and totally dependent upon the staff to do every aspect of daily life.
I was told a few times that they are understaffed and are willing to do better. They are in the process of hiring more people hopefully more qualified than the ones they have now.
Meanwhile I received a rate increase of double for what I am currently paying for the cost of more care. This is very frustrating so hopefully moving forward the Quality of Care will increase

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I with our 3 children and two puppies in tow went to visit my Grandma. We were warmly welcomed by front desk staff, had a great lunch with Grandma out on the patio and had a great visit. Sage Mountain is always clean, inviting, friendly and truly makes me feel that my Grandma is well loved and taken care of!
