Highly recommend coming by for tide pools, esp if you time it for low tide - we didn't make it for low tide and didn't see any starfish, but still was able to access the beach around and bounce around. We went around a lower high tide and were impressed with the amount of pools present despite this! Although slippery it's probably easier to navigate as it appears there are huge drop offs vs boulders (like in Ruby beach you're climbing over, at least my novice interpretation lol), but it's still rock, so be careful! Note there are multiple staircases and sections you can go explore! You could spend hours out here. My recs if driving in for olympics national park- work it into your hurricane ridge day if you have time and tides work out. I wish we had done that in retrospect!
