Every single employee from registration, techs, nurses to NP's and docs all do their best to provide the best care to the community. If you complain about waiting, just know they are seeing patients in order of medical need/ severity of each person's issue. Our medical system in this country has issues, but the folks at Samaritan are working hard to give everyone the best care. I've once again been taken care of at the ER with excellent care and am thankful for everyone who has made my visit a positive one.

My 2 nieces got into a car accident yesterday and we came home they both couldn’t walk or move hands and they didn’t take xrays of that part and they said they’ll be fine but we went to Wenatchee the next day to find out one toddler has a cast on her whole leg and the other one has the same thing but has to go to Seattle immediately for her elbow and she also has a cast on her arm and leg and they got casts on in Wenatchee and Moses lake said there was nothing wrong with them.

I took my 5 year old in today, a Saturday, after speaking with Samaritan Family Medicine's after hours nurse. He vomited and he still had food in his stomach, completely undigested from the day before. He had lost some weight & the nurse I spoke with thought his medication dose may be too high & was possibly causing gastroparesis amongst other concerns. She advised me to have him examined immediately at the ER. I took him in here to Samaritan's ER. We were taken back quickly & the nurses were great but the "doctor" was not so great. At first, she was very condescending to me like we shouldn't be there. She asked me with a snarky tone if I had talked to his prescribing doctor prior to bringing my son in. It is a Saturday... I told her I had left him a message. Then she thought it may be due to his history of constipation and began saying that this isn't new and the ER doesn't address in depth things like chronic constipation. She ordered an abdominal xray and a UA. He had no obstruction but high ketones in his urine. With his heavy family history of type 1 diabetes they checked his blood sugar. It was fine, he was dehydrated from his medication but otherwise there was no answer for the undigested food, weight loss etc. Both are symptoms of type 1 diabetes & so are high ketones. As disregarded as I felt mine & the initial nurses concerns were, I am still worried.
