Good selection of dresses and range of prices for a bridal boutique - ultimately, it was a very conscious and pretty immediate decision to not move forward with entertaining the idea of purchasing my wedding dress here, even though I had favorites, because I really did not appreciate my experience with the associate I worked with. She pulled great dresses for me that fit my tastes, and fit them well to me as I tried them on, but was snarky with me a couple of times as I talked about my likes and dislikes in dresses, and I almost felt like she might have thought I was wasting her time with my appointment? I also brought one of my bridesmaids with me as a guest, and both she and I felt that the associate was cold and dismissive to her as well, for whatever reason.

Overall I had a good experience finding a dress at Samila. They were able to listen to what I was looking for and quickly find me a dress that matched my vision. The follow up appointments for dress pickup and tailoring were smooth and fast.
The only reason I deducted a star was for the tailoring estimate. I had told them my budget and had asked that alterations be included in the total. After selecting my dress, they estimated that my alterations would be about $500 using their tailor. They ended up being $1000. They incorrectly estimated the hem cost (since my dress was lace) and said I would only need one bustle, when I needed four. I understand $500 was just a ballpark cost, but having the actual cost be double was frustrating and pushed me out of my budget.

I really enjoyed working with Shea. My first appointment, I genuinely had no idea what kind of wedding dress I wanted. Shea helped me learn about different styles and what to look for and think about. This gave me the background to research and the second time I came in she found the right dress immediately! I was in love, and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day.
