Either this guy didn’t understand what I was asking for, or he deliberately sabotaged my attempt to fix my PC in an effort to pay him to work on it.
All I asked for was a simple download of windows onto a memory stick to be able to reboot my PC. Any consumer with basic internet experience is supposed to be able to do this. I didn’t have access to a PC since mine wouldn’t boot up. I paid him $35 for just a simple download of software that I already own.
Well, he downloaded his own reboot software onto the flash drive, making it impossible for anyone without expert PC knowledge to do anything. As I was leaving he offered me his services to help reboot my laptop, seeming skeptical that I could do this on my own.
Of course I couldn’t - not with whatever he put on my flash drive.
Either he did this on purpose to try to get me to pay him to help me, or he didn’t understand what I was asking for. I have attached screenshots of what he put on my flash drive. It even has his name on it.
