I cannot say enough about SB Tutoring and my son's incredible tutor, Hannah. From the start, SB tutoring has provided nothing short of stellar and exceptional service. The staff that I have interacted with are all incredibly professional and knowledgeable.
Hannah started out helping my son with English and reading comprehension. I am very impressed with the structure of the sessions. Hannah doesn't wait for my son to come with questions. She is already familiar with the school's curriculum and books that he is reading. She has questions and exercises for my son to work on that are directly related to what he's doing in school.
Recently, she also started helping him with his math class that is now being taught at an accelerated pace due to the anticipation of returning back to campus in person. The amount of new information is overwhelming now that it's being taught at twice the normal speed. Hannah is incredibly knowledgeable of algebra and geometry and has helped my son immensely.
Every session ends with a short virtual meeting with me of a summary of what they covered and homework assignments she has given my son to complete. A follow up email is also sent with this information.
To sum up Santa Barbara Tutoring in one word: outstanding. I am very happy and it is well worth the money for the 90 minute weekly sessions. My son is now much more confident with his skills in English. He's always been an "A-/B+"student in English. But, it has been a struggle with many tears and virtual office visits with his teachers. He is now earning an "A" in class with much more ease and understanding.
