After having received outstanding treatment and thoughtful, considerate dialogue with Dr Scott Schneider and all the caregivers at Compass, I wish I could give the clinic five stars. Alas, dealing with the business office has been anything but comforting. Now, nearly a year and a half after my treatment, the billing department has still not resolved my account, despite numerous conversations with them. I was over billed a hefty sum, erroneously, according to my insurance provider. When the error was brought to the attention of the business office about six months ago, I was told my money could not be returned until the billing was re submitted to BCBS, which should take about a month. Since then, crickets, unless I initiated an inquiry, which I’ve done several times now. I’ve been offered apologies and excuses regarding the difficulty of resubmitting the billings, as if they don’t submit them on a daily basis. As a former provider in this community, I am shocked at the incompetence this business office and I would urge all patients to be wary of requests for payment prior to a complete understanding of various insurance and Medicare participation.

My experience with Compass was more than I expected. I was addressed and treated with respect, kindness and professionalism. Dr.Schneider approached me with reassurance, laymen language, listened intently to my many questions with understanding and always gave a clear knowledgeable answer. The radiation team was amazing. They were gentle and careful outfitting me for the totally painless treatment for all 38 treatments. From the very moment my wife and I walked through the doors of Compass we were met by open , congenial and happy employees who were calming and understanding of our fears and concerns.
My after treatment care continues with the confidence that I will be receiving the same excellent approach and treatment if needed.

I am still alive. The rest of the things I love about Compass Oncology are incidental. But a close #2 is how it was easy to ask them the hard questions at the beginning and feel like I was getting honest, unbiased answers. Great people and great care. What more could one want? Oh, and Scott Schneider is an awfully nice guy as well as a caring doctor.
