We thoroughly enjoyed our pottery class with Alli last Saturday. This studio is underneath a cozy coffee shop and adjacent to a marina, so make time to explore before or after class. The class was 2 hours, during which we learned how to center clay on the wheel and shape it into vessels. I appreciated Alli's perspective non-attachment in the process of ceramic work, and since she had wedged up plenty of clay we were able to feel comfortable practicing new techniques without fear of failing or running out of materials. She took our names and phone number down, and we will receive our final glazed product in a few weeks! We did not get to choose the glaze that will be used, but overall I think this is a great value for a wheel pottery class in the Seattle area and I looking forward to coming back.

I just had a pottery lesson from Ali at this new pottery studio near UW. Ali is wonderful and it was super fun! I haven’t done ceramics since high school and she did a great job at teaching me the basics…by the end of our two-hour class I had a decent looking cup/vessel that she’ll fire in the kiln. Excited to pick it up in a few weeks! Thank you and can’t wait to come back again soon!
