The Seattle Anxiety Specialists website is a wealth of valuable information. Their online magazine’s research driven articles are very informative and helpful. The magazine’s content covers a great deal of mental health issues with a wide variety of relevant topics. Articles range from the meteoric rise of social anxiety disorders, the necessity of having mental health professionals in schools, social media use and metal health, caregiver fatigue, to even the possible mental health implications of commercial advertising in dreams (yes, apparently that is an actual thing now!).
The Expert Interview Series videos are very interesting and well done. I particularly enjoyed the video interviews with Seattle Anxiety Specialist’s own psychiatrist Evelyn Nelson, MD on really addressing their patient’s possible concerns about starting or changing psychiatric medicines. I also enjoyed and related to the former Microsoft tech employee turned therapist at Seattle Anxiety Specialists, Jim McDonnell with his interview covering high stress job anxiety and his mid-career field change from tech to mental health therapy.
