9/16/22: I had the opportunity to have an examination performed by Dr. Jerry Shields, MD; he was fantastic! Great sense of humor in reviewing my previous providers' chart notes, and I felt that I was being listened to throughout the process. I am going back to follow up with a LASIK eye surgery recommendation.
Speaking only with regard to my remote interactions with their staff, I can find no reason not to praise them for the amiability and straightforwardness! Kiri has been nothing short of wonderful in managing the logistics of communication. If the office staff is this good, I can only imagine what the clinical staff is like - I remember this used to be a clinic co-operated by an ophthalmologist and an optometrist, which I always thought was an awesome partnership. It looks like team member Rerecich is no longer there, based on the organizational website, but I'm sure the clinic is just as quality. It is a rare treat to come across an ophthalmological practice that also performs routine comprehensive eyecare - many ophthalmologists focus only on medical operations, but this practice runs the whole gamut: routine comprehensive eye exams, LASIK eye surgery, and even its own partnered optical shop (Optimeyes)! One simply can't get a more holistic ophthalmological package!
The office staff appears to be totally incompetent. They quit taking our insurance, which is their right, but when we checked in they took our insurance card didn't tell us. $600+ in charges that they refuse to reverse, that used to be just a $30 copay (approx). For like 20 minutes of common eye exams for 3 people!!! Totally OUTRAGEOUS. Do not use these people!
Unresolved, after several attempts. Avoid this place at all costs!
