Our family joined SIDC in the small toddlers classroom in the Fall of 2020. After touring many childcare centers we were drawn to SIDC because of the location, legacy of center, small class sizes, and consistency of care given by the teachers. SIDC is a non-profit with a long history in Seattle (30+ years) run by a parent-led board and a wonderful admin team. The average tenure for teachers is 10 years which is a testament to how much they love what they do. Our son has grown so much in the past few months and seems to be thriving in the classroom—in fact, one of his first 25 words was his head teachers name. We love getting updates on the Brightwheel App throughout the day and are very happy we joined the SIDC community.

Our daughter has attended SIDC since she was an infant. There are a lot of things that make SIDC great (small classes, location is really convenient for anyone working downtown, etc.) but the staff and sense of community are what we love most. The teachers are some of the kindest and most loving people we've ever met, and our daughter has thrived under their care.

My daughter joined SIDC in 2021 and has absolutely thrived. We were only looking for a daycare, but were lucky enough to find this educational center. SIDC uses the HighScope curriculum to encourage curiosity through active learning. Our child's social and emotional development is extraordinary. Wonderful teachers and staff, highly recommend.
