Trish did a virtual consult during the height of covid for my then 9 month old son Luca, after I noticed him trying to crawl in a strange manner (along with some other gross motor delays). After watching Luca move and play, she was able to tell me that in her professional opinion, there was likely something neurological going on. Her opinion helped give me the confidence to push the issue with his pediatrician and get a neurology referral, where an MRI later confirmed a hemiplegia cerebral palsy diagnosis.
After our consult, Trish went over several PT exercises I could work on with him, as well as followed up with her suggestions in an email. She was so encouraging and let me know that the positive of a diagnosis is that it would help me better advocate for my son. Luca was in Early Childhood Intervention at the time I saw Trish, and they didn’t see anything CP related; I am so glad I was able to get a consult with Trish, and get her thoughts, so I was able to get Luca an accurate diagnosis and other therapies in a timely fashion. I would recommend Trish to anyone looking for a physical therapist for their child!
Five stars truly doesn't feel like enough! When my daughter was behind with her motor skills, Trish not only helped her get stronger, but she actually brought a few other things to my attention that would help in her development. I would have never dreamed crawling could help her read better later in life. I clearly have a lot to learn, but I am so thankful to have someone like Trish in my corner as my teacher & practitioner for my daughter. It is clear that Trish knows all the latest research and makes my fiance and I feel entirely confident that our daughter is receiving the very best. Her service is worth every out-of-pocket penny we have spent, and then some.
Aside from her standard of care, Trish is incredibly compassionate and understanding. Being a parent is tough, and she gets that. Sometimes I am not sure if my daughter is the patient, or I am. She is with us both every step of the way, and is so patient and reassuring with all my questions and concerns. Her recommendations were never too cumbersome and they were geared at what we could do as a family to help our daughter. What really blows my mind is that her suggestions, exercises, and overall coaching is ACTUALLY intended to help our daughter and cut down on PT in the future. It was such a relief to have someone so wonderful who clearly wanted to help our daughter and our family.
I could go on and on, but if you take anything away from this review let it be this: Trish has found the perfect balance between professional, personable, and patient. She is warm, easy to talk to, intelligent, and delivers top-knotch service. Your entire family is in good hands with Trish!
